Project Manager - SQL & Project Management

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Owning and managing the team's backlog(s)
  • Actively participating in planning activities for the Program Increment and PI Planning
  • Story definition, providing clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates and story sequencing, and drafting the team's specific objectives for the upcoming Program Increment (PI)
  • Leading the development team through all activities to support
  • Sprint activities
  • Acting as a key stakeholder in product related decisions and release planning
  • Working with the Chief Product Owner to evaluate the product roadmap to identify features for development and identify "definition of done" for each feature
  • Producing workflows, completing data mapping and performing business process design
  • Working with the Architect(s) and Tech Lead(s) to identify non-functional requirements such as infrastructure needs

Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT as a Business Analyst or Product Owner
  • 3+ years of experience in MS SQL server Databases
  • 3-4 years project management experience is mandatory
  • Recent experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, delivering products using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile, Scrum or Kanban Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experienced in the management of a Product Roadmaps with multiple projects/Features that may be in significantly different stages of development or have differing timelines and priorities
  • Experience in communicating in a fashion tailored the audience and their needs
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates experience in working effectively with all levels of staff, business partners and IT Leadership
  • Experience in proposing and leading strategic initiatives

Experience Desired

  • CSPO or A-CSPO Certified Scrum Product Owner

Education and Training Required

  • BS/BA degree in Business, Information management or similar
  • OR
  • 5 additional years of Product owner experience in lieu of a degree; with the ability to complete a degree within a year of onboarding

  • Demonstrated ability to provide advice, assistance, and leadership in improving the quality of

  • Ability to build, influence, lead and motivate effective teams towards end results
