SF Recruitment have an exclusive opportunity for an Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an instantly recognisable business in Coalville, Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking & fast-moving business. Our client is seeking an Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to take ownership of the Purchase Ledger function & report directly to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will have experience working within PL & have excellent communication skills.

Duties include:
- Allocating and posting outgoing bank payments.
- Payment run preparation
- Managing the onboarding process of new suppliers
- Creating PO's ensuring the correct authorisation process is followed
- Processing purchase invoices & maintaining the accounts mailbox
- Following up on any outstanding PO's without invoice
- Dealing with any invoice queries on behalf of the business
- Month end reconciliations of supplier accounts and supplier statements
- Dealing with escalated queries and assisting with the processing of supplier invoices
- Closing the ledger at month end.

The suitable Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk will:
- Have two or more years of relevant experience working within an Purchase Ledger department or similar.
- Be an excellent verbal and written communicator and be comfortable contacting suppliers to discuss missing invoices and/or to resolve issues.
- You will liaise with all departments on a regular basis regarding orders and should be comfortable building relationships with internal stakeholders.
