Senior Care & Support Worker (Older People)

Trust Housing Association has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Care & Support Worker (Older People) to join our team based at West Lodge Gardens, Alloa. You will join on a part-time, permanent (32.5 hours per week) basis and in return will receive a competitive salary.

What were looking for in our Senior Care & Support Worker (Older People):

Here at Trust we are dedicated to making a real difference in caring for and supporting people in their everyday lives. We are looking for someone to join our existing team of Seniors. You would be helping to manage a staff team, to ensure tenants are managing tasks within their daily life including homecare support, and personal care, and helping to promote a positive, active healthy lifestyle.

Here at West Lodge Gardens, we support our tenants with a variety of different care needs, some will have physical and/or learning difficulties, alcohol related illnesses & brain impaired abilities including dementia. What matters most is that you have the correct positive values and attitude. Your working pattern would be over a 3 week rolling rota consisting of day shifts and back shifts (8.30am -5pm and 2pm-10pm).

Skills and Experience required to become our Senior Care & Support Worker (Older People):

You will be experienced in a care related service with excellent communication skills and supervisory experience. An SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or a commitment to achieve this qualification is also required to comply with the registration/timescale requirements of the SSSC. Ideally you will have previous experience in working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community, so you will understand their needs and know how to meet these. Itll be rewarding looking after those who rely on the support and dedication youll bring to this important role.
