The Howard Hughes Corporation is seeking an extremely bright, experienced Coordinator, Marketing who is a self-starter. that loves the idea iof growing business through partner relations.. This position is responsible for assisting marketing efforts with a 14,000 sq ft., mixed-use development located in Columbia, MD. Names "Best Place to Live"by Money Magazine and "Healthiest County in the Country" by US News & World Reports. Responsible for assisting with all aspects of event planning and production; from signature and seasonal programs to revenue generating product introduction opportunities. Experience required in maximizing and executing events that cross multi-cultural festivals, large scale concert series, product introductions, family events and seasonal programs attended from 10 to 10,000. The role will touch on key issues that are critical to growing property attendance levels, and to connect visitors with our tenants. Strategy and imagination will be helpful in cultivating programs to re-connect to the Merriweather district.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to work various weekends, evenings and holidays to support event initiatives
Act as a brand champion to maintain brand integrity and consistency in all company materials and marketing campaigns
Assist in the execution of the Downtown Columbia and Merriweather District marketing plan
Assist in coordination and execution of various events and programs and attend as a member of the marketing team
Assist Senior Marketing Coordinator in the completion of event and other marketing initiative recaps
Assist in the development of quarterly reports - digital, budget and otherwise as needed.
Maintain merchant, business and consumer databases
Assist with the organization of event video and photo archives
Assist Senior Marketing Coordinator with digital marketing strategy including, but not limited to, creating original content, collecting content from merchants, tracking ads and promotions and scheduling posts
Assist Senior Marketing Coordinator with online reputation strategy including, but not limited to, responding to reviews and tracking public commentary.
Update and manage the content project websites under the direction of senior marketing staff.
Assist with email campaigns for various project websites and cultural programming
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partners including but not limited to merchants, vendors and other Howard Hughes Departments
Serve as administrative support as needed including processing expense reports and maintaining files and processing necessary vendor paperwork and invoices for approval
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Analytical skills with experience or coursework in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Strong creative writing skills and experience or passion for digital marketing
Be tactful and diplomatic through effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work with several competing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and customer-service oriented
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as walking extensively, moving boxes, signage etc.
Must be able to work well with all levels of management and staff as well as outside clients and vendors.
Be mature, flexible, dependable and professional
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to perform quality work within deadlines
Work independently while understanding the need for communicating and coordinating efforts with others
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
A Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations or equivalent work experience
1-2 years work or internship experience in marketing or related field
Experience in event planning and writing news releases, ad copy or other promotional copy desired
