Country Category Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Localize, implement and executecategory strategies following guidance from Reginal/global category management and GBU management for Sanofi Sites.
Execute and implement global/regional/country contracts following guidance from category management.
Ensure Procurement business partnership with sites management team.
Maintain the right level of partnership with the suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES FOR THIS JOB
Local execution of the pre-defined categories' strategy
Proactively contribute to provide information to Reginal/Global Category Managers on local business needs and supplier market intelligence
Define list of non-preferred suppliers compliant with global category guidelines.
Source and manage interactions with preferred suppliers.
Accountable for supplier Master Data accuracy
Lead process to ensure consistent accuracy of data (incl. payment terms) initiate deactivation of suppliers not used initiate blocking/unblocking of suppliers
Manage and monitor pre sourcedsolutions
Negotiate and manage process to put in place for pre-source solutions
Guide the operational Buying/Purchasing process for purchases above the Buyer threshold
Challenge business requirements (buy better, buy less)
Conduct bidding (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and negotiate above the Buyer threshold
Select or involved in the selection of supplier with best offer in partnership with business stakeholders.
Guide throughout the Contract management process
Negotiate contracts, optimize existing agreements (buy cheaper)
Follow-up Key Performance Indicators, deliver savings objectives
Manage both every day and exceptional risks along the supply chain to deal with risks and uncertainties caused by, or impact on, logistics related resources or activities in the supply chain
Master Procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, Innovation, ESG, HSE, compliance, quality…).
Collaborate with procurement peers to ensure coordinated business partnering with business stakeholders applying an end to end view (from R&D to Market).
Innovation Sourcing: scanning of the solutions available on the market and coming from preferred suppliers
Interacting with the different direct categories (Capex & Maintenance, Distribution& supply chain …) and CPH team
EDUCATION
Master's Degree, preferably in Supply Management and/or Pharmaceuticals /Engineering / Science Advanced degrees or certification in procurement are preferable. MBA preferred
EXPERIENCE
Ideally 3 years of professional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field(s).
Technical knowledge and interest in different categories, Raw Materials, Packaging material & Devices.

Build and maintain strong interfaces and collaborations with other departments like finance, supply, legal, quality / regulatory, engineering, Science, Critical Material Management …
Reinforce and develop supplier knowledge, their capacities and strategies

COMPUTER SKILLS
Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Background helpful
Working knowledge of ERP systems (i.e. SAP) and financial practices
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with emphasis on strong MS Excel skills
Preferred demonstrated knowledge of procurement systems, processes and procedures
Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
Strong analytical skills including cost analysis
Strong financial analysis skills
