Clinical Educator - Infection Prevention Control Lead

About the role:Reporting directly to the Learning and Engagement Manager, this role will provide effective education and coaching that ensures residents receive quality care that is consistent with best practice and reflects Aveo's values of Kindness, Care and Respect. You'll be comfortable working in an autonomous role with regular travel between communities while being supported by a broader People & Culture team. Some of your responsibilities will include: Contribute to the creation of regular training plans and deliver learning activities in line with these plansIdentify training needs/gaps, especially in relation to Aged Care Standards and other relevant legislation for the sectorContribute to the delivery of staff induction and on-boarding processes shaping a positive start to their Career at AveoSupport communities in preventing, identifying, reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable disease for residents, staff and visitorSupport implementation of policies and procedures, in-line with current legislation and best practiceLiaise with key stakeholders across multiple divisions on education policy, processes and opportunities for development Your experience will include: Registered Nurse with AHPRA registrationCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)Completion of an identified IPC course as per the Department of Health requirements (highly regarded)A passion for helping people develop their capability and fulfil their potentialDemonstrated experience in a similar function in the Care industryExcellent computer skills - Microsoft Office competency essential (including PowerPoint)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to present training materials in a group environmentAbility to make accurate and rational decisions based on logical assumptions and factual informationStrong stakeholder and time management skillsFully vaccinated against COVID-19 About AveoAveo's vision is to be Australia's leading and most innovative seniors living provider.
