About the role:

The Brand Manager - Marketing Communications is critical role in our marketing organization. You will be responsible for media planning and execution as well as developing and executing PR and Influencer strategies. All in service of reenforcing brand communication goals and advancing our mission, to harness the power of the Avocado.

  • Media Planning and Execution
    • Responsible for managing media agency to develop and execute the media plan in service of brand goals
    • Leads all KPI discussions and report-outs to leadership as well as executing action plans to improve
    • On top of industry and media trends to push agency for best-in-class execution and test and learn opportunities
  • Responsible for Influencer marketing strategies and campaigns that extend Brand Strategy into the influencer realm
    • Mentors marketing associate in developing influencer strategy across earned and paid
    • Identify and build relationships with prominent influencers and thought leaders
    • Leverages tools to systematize and scale impact (e.g., GRIN)
  • Develops and leads PR strategy and PR Agency
    • Partners with PR agency in development and execution of overall PR strategy
    • Mentors influencer/PR associate in developing press kits and pitch materials for innovation, ongoing editorial, or PR stunts
    • Liaise with the brand team to create and coordinate marketing strategies that work across different channels
    • Aids in development of sales decks to demonstrate how Chosen Foods is a hot brand worthy of consideration
  • Keep on top of emerging trends, technologies, and influencers
    • Research relevant industry experts, competitors, target audience and users
    • Recommend new tactics or pivots to strategy based on expert knowledge
  • Responsible for analytics and measurement of impact
    • Identifies and tracks key performance indicators for Media, PR, and influencers including but not limited to: ROI, ROAS, impressions, engagement, shares, clicks, etc.
  • Manages team of 2 and mentors marketing org on communication best practices
  • Other duties as required that support Chosen Foods paid media investments

  • Leads integrating all touchpoints across campaigns to guarantee consistent messaging and build Chosen equity
Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related business field, MBA a plus.

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant brand management experience or media agency experience with a consumer-packaged good company. Food experience preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate is a proven marketer with a track record of growing businesses

  • This role requires strong knowledge of media planning, media best practices, digital, PR, social, influencer, and activations

  • Track record of success leading both external agency partners and internal cross-functional teams

  • Ability to effectively lead multiple projects concurrently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in briefing external agencies and presenting to senior business leaders

  • People management experience

  • Proficient in MS Office suite and IRI/Nielsen syndicated data
