Software Engineer - Advanced (Remote)

Siemens EDA is looking for self-motivated engineers to work inlogic/physical synthesis and timing optimization software development for theRTL synthesis tool.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs in the RTL logic synthesis Tool
  • Focusing on digital logic synthesis, logic/physical optimization techniques, timing driven netlist optimizations,
  • Interfacing with synthesis mapping and incremental timing engines to achieve competitive PPA on advanced node technologies for RTL-2-GDSII flow solution
  • Candidate will work in close coordination with cross geographical team to deliver innovative solutions and enhance/maintain RTL logic synthesis tool features.


Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming forproducts (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customerexpectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery.

  • Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism.
  • Requires ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems.
  • Creates and executes software designs involving complicated workflows covering multiple product functions
  • Occasionally consults product engineering team in regard to future upgrades and products
  • Provides specialized expertise within multiple software and hardware design disciplines
  • Requires practical knowledge about digital implementation tool(s) and applications suitable for customer requirements
  • Works with minimal supervision on complex projects with wide latitude for independent judgment.
  • Highly skilled with proficiency and technical expertise, with potential of expanding into technical lead on one or more projects.

Degree:3-10 Years of experiencewith MS or Ph.D. in ElectricalEngineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degrees

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of netlist optimization, timing optimization and/or logic synthesis is required
  • Strong in programming skill with working experience in C/C++, strong analytical and problem solving skill
  • Strong knowledge of algorithm development, data structure designing and debugging skill
  • Strong Knowledge in Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL will be preferred
  • Knowledge of multithreaded and multi-processor implementation in Linux is a plus
  • Prior experience of working on synthesis, physical design, and/or place & route software is highly recommended
  • Prior experience with large scale software development and team projects is highly recommended
  • Knowledge of Linux, Tcl, and scripting language is a plus
  • Practical English language communication skill
