We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our Blue Bell, PA office. This position reports to the HR Director and provides overall human resources support to the consolidated East /Midwest Region, including but not limited to executing activities related to professional and craft recruiting, onboarding, drug testing and DOT compliance programs, employee relations and discipline, training, and benefits. This role is fast paced and requires the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a changing environment.
Support strategic HR initiatives for the East-Midwest Region HR Department to advance HR requirements
Oversee the onboarding and compliance programs for the East/Midwest Region.
Support recruitment efforts including professional, entry level and craft positions.
Source experienced candidates for placement and hiring consideration
Create a pipeline of potential new hires for future consideration
Partner with hiring managers to facilitate the recruiting process including scheduling video and in person interviews, follow up with candidates, drafting offers for approval, dispositioning unsuccessful candidates
Onboard new hires, including professional, entry level and craft.
Conduct HR-related training including New Hire Orientation.
Handle the administration of the East Regions federally mandated driver program
Oversee the administration of the background check process of new employees
Ensure compliance with customer contract terms and conditions
Administer and communicate HR-related company programs, policies and procedures and respond to employee inquiries.
Handle basic matters relating to employee discipline and employee relations counseling.
Conduct exit interviews.
Support benefit information sessions for employees. Help supervisors understand and coordinate FMLA, STD, LTD and other leave programs with enterprise leave administrator.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Other duties as assigned.
Business related Bachelors degree and minimum of three years related experience and/or training. PHR or other professional HR certification accepted in lieu of formal HR education.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive employee information.
Proficient in software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet social media platforms
Minimum of 2 years experience with database software; human resource systems; payroll systems; and ATS systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel within the consolidated East Region/Midwest footprint up to 10% of the time.
Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, work independently and exercise discretion and independent judgment. Must be able to work as part of a team.
