We are a general contracting firm who designs, builds, retrofits and maintains specialized HVAC systems for indoor agriculture. In conjunction with our collective brands we provide advanced innovative indoor agriculture equipment and technology. We specialize in environmental data centers that generate the best controlled indoor cultivation environments in our field.

The Service Department Manager will oversee and execute the organization's customer service operations, while coordinating and performing a diverse set of support tasks, managing both staff and property, to ensure the organization and its facilities have the staff and resources needed to operate smoothly and efficiently.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Assists HR in the hiring and training of service department staff.
  • Oversees and manages the daily workflow of the department.
  • Organizes and oversees department and staff schedules and calendars
  • Conducts or assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Assists HR with discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with HR company handbook and policies.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Drafts policies and procedures and submits for approval to facilitate a quality customer service experience.
  • Establishes performance metrics for customer service representatives.
  • Establishes service levels and requirements for the department.
  • Develops and implements methods to record, assess, and analyze customer feedback.
  • Works with HR to develop and implement training and quality assurance programs for new hires and experienced employees.
  • Identifies and recommends or acquires updates and expansions to technology, equipment, and policies that may improve customer service and retention.
  • Acts as a liaison between the customer service department and other divisions in the company.
  • Drafts department budgets for supplies, equipment, and contract services. and submits for approval.
  • Ensures that buildings, grounds, equipment, and supplies are maintained and serviced.
  • Oversees the acquisition, distribution, and storage of company supplies and shared support services such as mailing, printing, and copying; security; and cleaning and maintenance.
  • Supports other related, varying needs of assigned departments and staff.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost savings, better efficiency, or other improvements; recommends and implements policy or process changes as appropriate.
  • Monitors any construction or renovation projects to ensure plan requirements and applicable health, safety, and legal standards are met.
  • Collaborates with architectural, engineering, design, and planning teams to create functional and productive work and other business spaces.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost savings in assigned areas; recommends and implements policy or process changes as needed.
  • Supports the various, related needs of assigned departments.
  • Prepares, negotiates, analyzes, and reviews contracts for equipment, supplies, materials, services, and products.
  • Prepares and reviews departmental, maintenance, and other recurring schedules and reports for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversees the disposal of unclaimed or surplus property.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team building and coaching ability to support departmental staff to encourage and maintain morale
  • Superior ability to identify and solve problems and to conduct cost-benefit analyses.
  • Understanding of HVAC and indoor cultivation
  • Basic understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Ability to solve basic math problems
  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
  • Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, work well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
  • Proficient in Asana, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Simpro and other similar software.
  • Knowledge of basic administrative and clerical systems and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of basic business and management principles as applied to resource allocation, leadership technique, staff and resource coordination, strategic planning, and human resource modeling.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a preferred but not required

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, but not required
  • Three to five years of management and customer service experience
  • Three to five years of related experience in the HVAC, Construction and or Indoor Cannabis Cultivation, and other related fields preferred, but not required

Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, turn, and kneel for a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Ability to navigate various departments and locations of the company.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S without Sponsorship
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid State of California Drivers License
  • Clean driving record
