Facilities Coordinator

United Cooperative Services has an open position for a Facilities Coordinator in our Cleburne Cooperative Planning Department.          

Candidate should have a stable, verifiable work history, with an acceptable MVR.  A pre-employment drug and alcohol screen is required. This is a career job with progressive pay and an outstanding benefit package. This non-exempt position starts at $34.31 per hour. Positions are open until filled. This position coordinates and performs maintenance and construction activities at Uniteds office facilities.  This position procures products needed for the operation of office facilities and approves contractor and supply invoices.



Develops and maintains inventory, user manuals, warranty records and maintenance/repair logs of all major components of Uniteds office facilities to ensure proper maintenance and repairs.  Proactively develops and enacts plans to ensure office facilities are maintained in a professional and timely manner.

Procures all products needed for the business operations of office facilities.

Develops proactive maintenance schedules in accordance with manufacturers, installers and/or contractors recommendations to promote extended life of the facilities.

Performs and oversees emergency sanitation and biohazard efforts both during and after hours.

Inspects facilities on a regular basis and maintains a priority list of facilities maintenance issues.  

Works within budgets to remediate issues found on inspections.  Performs emergency facilities repairs both during and after hours.

Coordinates facilities construction, maintenance, and repair work performed by storekeepers, other employees, and contractors as necessary.

Obtains and evaluates bids/proposals through issuance of a request for proposal (RFP) where applicable, from qualified contractors on the construction, repair, and maintenance of Uniteds office facilities.  Works with department management to validate actual work references, negotiate, and execute proper agreements for work to be performed.  Ensures contractors adhere to agreement terms and conditions including meeting all insurance requirements as listed in the agreements and completing work as indicated.

Coordinates facilities construction and maintenance contractors and monitors quality of work performed.  Ensures work of substandard quality is reworked in accordance with the associated agreements.

Performs cost/benefit analysis on outsourcing versus in-house labor where appropriate.

Adheres to current budget and prepares budgetary reports for future expenditures.  Budgetary items include but are not limited to janitorial, water and gas utility, facility repairs, facility additions or retirements, office equipment, and postage. Scrutinizes facility maintenance material purchases and facility contractor invoices for accuracy.

Works with other departments to support all facility and office supply needs, including furniture procurement and placement.

Adhere to encourage Uniteds safety policies and procedures and offer recommendations to your supervisor to enhance the cooperatives safety culture.


The Facilities Coordinator shall be required to perform any other duties assigned to fulfill the objectives of the Cooperative.

Position RequirementsJob Knowledge, Training and Experience: Requires a bachelors degree in Facilities or Construction Management or related field, or a high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience in facilities or construction management.  Equipment Operated: Operates office equipment and computers. Must have a current
Texas drivers license without violations that would prohibit insurability.Abilities and Skills:  Must be skilled in verbal and written communications, prepare data with accuracy and detail, plan effectively and exercise proper control.  Physical Effort: Must be able to perform all activities listed in the job description with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions: This position is performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration.   Occasional exposure to set or humid conditions, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of explosives.  Noise level is usually moderate.  Extensive travel between various office facilities is required
