Catering Coordinator

Assist the Director of Catering in the administrative functions required for effective management of the Catering Department.

  • Promptly answer telephone calls following HEI Hotels and Resorts and brand standards using clear and positive communication. Communicate information accurately to manager and disseminate information and facts to relevant accounts and applicable departments.

  • Generate correspondence, proposals and contracts as directed by management.

  • Distribute contracts, resumes, room requests, and amenities to relevant departments throughout the hotel.

  • Politely and professionally commminucate with clientle. Respond to inquiries with accurate information and record in all relevant files.

  • Promptly respond to guest requests for information on hotel facilities and menus.

  • Monitor and order necessary office supplies for department.

  • Log pertinent account information in files.

  • Maintain necessary copies of contracts and event files

  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $18-$22/hr

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience

  • Hotel and/or customer service experience preferred.

  • Ability to effectively work with internal and external customers, as well as vendors and department heads.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, with managers, supervisors, coworkers, clients alike.
