We are actively seeking a Project Manager to oversee a wide variety of projects and project teams, from conceptual design through implementation within Gallagher Affinity Group. This role will be client facing while also working alongside interdepartmental personnel for each project, to maximize resources and overall efficiency. The person in this role will be responsible for the scheduling, coordination, and successful completion of assigned projects, on time and within scope. The range of assigned projects will include client facing initiatives and internal deliverables. Additionally, this person will be the key voice in communicating with customer project teams, aligning deliverables, and managing project plans in an agile workspace.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals
Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
Coordinate with related Business and IT Stakeholders during all project phases, from initial development through technical implementation
Analyze, plan, and develop strategic roadmaps for scheduled projects
As needed, develop and provide approval of project related business requirement documentation
Assign and oversee the daily tasks and milestones of project teams while ensuring all resources are actively working toward established goals
Lead regular team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges
Lead client facing team meetings to provide updates and overall statuses of related initiatives
Determine and define clear deliverables, capacity, roles and responsibilities of internal resources
Responsible for reporting and communicating project status to internal and client Stakeholders
At times, this role will work directly with vendors on related project initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelors degree
5 or more years related experience
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and leading project teams
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment
Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables
Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
Must be able to wear multiple hats with excellent multitasking skills
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment
Experience in Agile methodologies and leading project team resources
Experience within the insurance industry is not required but is preferred
Project Management certifications are a plus
