OneDrive is Microsoft’s solution for cloud file storage - the one place for all your important documents, files and folders, photos, and videos and more, across work and life, and on all your devices. OneDrive and SharePoint are rapidly growing services at the center of Microsoft's cloud, reaching almost every part of the company, like Windows and Office. We are one of the flagship workloads in the Office 365 (O365) suite, having around 450 million Monthly Active Users (MAU) across work and life users, about 2 exabytes of storage and growing every day. The OneDrive/SharePoint team is looking for a motivated and strong Software Engineer to help develop and maintain our core networking infrastructure without which the service cannot operate.
You will be responsible for helping us to scale out our networking to meet the growing demands of the service while also working closely with the application layers to understand how we can significantly increase the efficiency of our service by working across infrastructure and application. This role will have the opportunity to partner across the entire OneDrive/SharePoint organization but also across Microsoft as we work together to handle the unprecedented challenges ahead as we scale towards the 1 billion MAU milestone, all of whom wish to access their content quickly and reliably over our network. This role will require teamwork and strong thought leadership, but we also value diversity of thought and are constantly looking for new ways to do things. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of our technology at a fundamental level.
We are looking for people with a ton of passion, a desire to try big things, people who have a lot of curiosity and are not afraid to jump into some seriously hard problems, organize the work, and get results. The most important trait we look for is raw passion for technology and for the space that we are in within OneDrive/SharePoint.
Come and be a part of a team that can fundamentally change the way that millions of people use their devices and interact with the most important content in their lives.
