ADM is looking for individuals with direct experience in supporting the NCCDPHP Office of Medicine and Science (OMS) in performing all work necessary to provide public health related technical services in support of carrying of extramural research activities to meet the operational objectives of OMS (ADS, ERPOS, and PCD). Providing; Technical Writing, Program Analyst, Senior Editorial Services, Web Graphic design, Marketing and Communication support, Software Engineering, Public Health analytics all in support of Chronic disease. Supporting project planning, data management, publication and production coordination, technical expertise in marketing public health messages and publications, editorial services, and administrative support in carrying out OMS key functions.
Provide programming and site development support PCD online publication delivery on multiple platforms (e.g., iOS, Android, RSS feeds).
Support the development of appropriate artifacts using online publication technologies, standards, and technical approaches as disseminated through the Council of Science Editors Annual Meeting, Society for Scholarly Publishing Annual Meeting, disseminated from publishing-related conferences, and through collaboration/networking with other publication technology professionals.
Troubleshoot responsive design layouts, JQUERY, CSS, video, podcasts, and social media feeds for PCD content. This involves the contractor finding solutions when website updates do not integrate into the web design layout. Recent example: PCD now has a Twitter handle, and the Twitter feed was added to the home page of our website. The Twitter feed did not display correctly in the responsive design layout so contractor corrected problem.
Design page layouts, develop scripts, and work with graphics and other multimedia to support PCD online publication.
Prepare web materials from written/electronic copy, XML files, or other files using WCMS or other web-based development tools.
Ensure Section 508 compliance and accessibility.
Support the rapidly changing technology of Online Scholarly Publishing by keeping abreast of and recommending the latest technology in order to: 1) reduce time to publication (e.g., peer-review submissions systems, XML-based tools), 2) increase channels for PCDs content (Android and iPad apps, EPUB), 3) meet changing data-sharing and indexing standards (AAMC, CrossRef, ORCID, CASRAI, NIH and Ringgold), and 4) increase outreach (metrics/analytics tools, social media integration). Contractor will cover the cost of and ensure assigned resources attend appropriate educational opportunities to keep up with the changing technology.

Experience in scholarly journal technical production
The ability to obtain and maintain a client specific Public Trust.
