The Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for planning and buying for an assigned group of products or vendors and ensuring the material arrives to the final destination on time. They will drive on time performance by monitoring PO confirmations, on time shipments, factory performance, and transportation disruptions. They will be a key contributor to improving customer experience through superior product availability. Collaborate with the Demand Planning team on inventory redistribution and maintain supplier scorecard for assigned group of vendors. This position a key contributor to the success of the Supply Chain organization, driving the Right Product, Right Place, Right Time philosophy.
The right candidate will have experience in a planning organization, be a strong process owner, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across all functions. They will also be data driven and be able to use the data to make recommendations or decisions. This position will report to the Supply Planning Manager.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Plan/Procure manufacturing & finished goods in support of our demand forecast and inventory goals
Resolve daily service/delivery issues with customer service and DCs, including late shipment analysis
Review expedites and recommend Air Freight
Monitor inventory performance to ensure objectives are met
Maintain accuracy of planning data in ERP and APS systems
Assist in improving planning processes, systems, and data
Improve the customer experience through proactive decision making and communication
Routinely interact with internal and external customers
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of purchasing activities
Knowledge of supply chain operations
Strong knowledge & understand of all functions of the supply chain with an ability to work with different business units & stakeholders at varying levels of the organization
Experience with, planning & performance software & business intelligence software & tools (as well as MS Office). Watts is using QAD, Anaplan & Power BI, respectively, but experience with similar tools is acceptable
APICS or other related certification is preferred
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
