Staff Accountant

The Collection is currently seeking for a highly professional, responsible, and experienced person to assume the position of Staff Accountant. In order to effectively fill the position, the individual must be able to conduct themselves and speak in a professional manner. The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.


  • Understands the principles of general cost accounting, monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Familiar with the function of the general ledger.
  • Has experience with cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts, accounts receivable collections, and payables.
  • Has experience with audits; gathering necessary account information and documents to perform internal audit.
  • Has experience with filing tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Keeps current on acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Has provided data analyses on Excel for finance projects.
  • Has worked in a supportive role for an executive providing ad-hoc reporting.
  • Has arranged travel and managed a hectic calendar schedule for an executive.


  • Expert Microsoft 365 experience.
  • Previous experience in public accounting, automotive industry, or other related fields.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
  • High line automotive experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to regularly meet deadlines and be detail oriented.
  • 5 years of Automotive Accounting Experience.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CDK dealership management system experience is a plus.

Physical requirements:
