Product Manager, Medical Device

We are looking for a product manager interested in shaping the future of Koh Young's medical business. The Product Manager is responsible for developing and executing product management activities for Koh Young medical product lines. The Product Manager will maintain expert knowledge of our neurosurgical robotic platform and use this information to communicate with the R&D team in achieving development goals. The ideal Product Manager will understand UX, technology, and business and try to balance all three needs in commercialization effort while aligning with corporate vision and product identity in the marketplace.

We currently have an opening in San Diego and San Jose, California.

    • Demonstrate complete understanding of the medical device product development process.
    • Work with internal departments (R&D, Project Management, UX, Clinical, and Marketing team) to ensure the highest quality of products and quickly rally necessary stakeholders to resolve any issues.
    • Prioritize various user requirements by understanding technical and operational challenges to meet our product/business strategy.
    • Support in developing long-term product strategies and roadmaps by effectively translating VOCs and user scenarios into differentiated technical features.
    • Provide pertinent data and insight on competitors and their products.
    • Attend key conferences and tradeshows annually; attendance may vary per budgetary and market requirements.
    • Researching trends, developing reports, and other projects as required from time to time.
    • Perform other such tasks and projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Required Education and Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in science/engineering (biomedical, mechanical, electrical, computer, etc.) is highly desirable
    • Minimum 3 years of Product Management experience
    • Medical device or capital equipment experience required
    • Experience with and understanding the clinical/surgical environment and workflow is a plus
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Team-oriented - ability to motivate and work well with diverse, global, and cross-functional teams
    • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow, work independently
    • Ability to multi-task within a cross-functional team and matrix management structure
    • Ability to maintain updated knowledge of procedures, products, and activities of the assigned product line
    • Demonstrated strategic/tactical planning and implementation capabilities
    • Bilingual in English/Korean preferred
    • International travel to HQ (located in South Korea) may occasionally be required
