ServiceNow Product Manager
The AT&T Transformation Office is looking for a Principal System Engineer to fill the critical SAFe Product Manager role in various ServiceNow transformation projects. The Product Manager is responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable ServiceNow products/applications. They collaborate with stakeholders and sponsors to identify, define, and clarify their needs, understand the solution, and develop the roadmap, and features required to meet these needs. They represent the business sponsors to the development teams.
A Product Manager oversees the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the clients needs and preferences. Their main duties include determining the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items, and deciding which features each product will have according to clients preferences.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Collaborating with Solution Train Architects and Managers for hand-off of solutions to the SAFe Agile Release Train (ART)
Collaborating with the Development Team to decompose solutions into user stories
Collaborating with sponsors and business leaders to understand and help them translate business needs into product requirements
Defining the vision for the development Team
Maintaining a product road map based on this vision
Managing the product backlog and prioritizing features and user stories based on changing requirements
Overseeing all stages of product creation including design, development, testing and deployment
Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
Liaising with the product team and business sponsors to deliver updates
Participating in scrum of scrum, product owner meetings, demos, and Program Increment Planning
Collaborating with Development Team to understand and prioritize enabler work that supports future business functionality
Provides recurring leadership readouts on the health of their part of the ART
WHAT YOU NEED:
8+ years software development experience.
2+ years of experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment.
Proven track record in building complex ServiceNow solutions.
2+ years of ServiceNow development/implementation experience a plus
ServiceNow System Administrator certifications a plus.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
Demonstrated ability to influence large teams and leadership providing options with pros/cons and risks around all key technical decisions during the design/delivery process.
Strong data analysis skills leveraging various technologies.
Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to excel as part of a geographically diverse team.
Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience delegating work to subordinate or less experienced team members and mentoring same.
