Aramark Business & Industry Facility Services is part of Aramark's $2 Billion Global Facilities Business representing a client portfolio of 16,000 facilities and two billion square feet. We are searching for an Industrial Environmental Health and Safety Manager. The successful candidate must be able to build solid internal relationships with local Operations Team in efforts to gain support for safety programs. Candidate must also be able to present previous relevant work experience.
The EHS Manager trains Aramark Directors, Managers and Supervisors to investigate safety incidents and events, perform root cause analyses, and devises permanent corrective action plans for Safety Incident Reports. The EHS Manager oversees the preparation of these reports and monitors implementation of corrective action plans.
The EHS compiles safety budgets and tracks expenditures and variances, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Responsiveness, People and Environment (SQCRPE).
This position is remote, but some travel is required to manufacturing sites/plants based on business needs.
Job Responsibilities
Create and/or modify safety policies and programs
Develop goals/strategies and measurements for Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
Analyze results and benchmark data
Minimize liability exposures
Develop necessary training programs for safety leaders and front-line workers
Initial point of contact for any safety incident
Participate in all Board of Inquiries for safety incidents
Prepare and distribute results/findings to internal and external customers
Conduct audits and inspections
Draft and distribute monthly safety bulletin
Determine trends and create corrective action programs
Become visible and actively involved in customer safety programs
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as Safety Manager or assistant in large facilities, maintenance, construction, or manufacturing organization.
Background must include experience working in the aerospace industry
Safety Program responsibility with proven results, and a thorough knowledge of OSHA and compliance state programs, applicable safety standards, and workers compensation issues
Strong organization, leadership, time management and team motivation skills are essential for success in this role
Must be comfortable with frequent computer usage and a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is required
Bachelors Degree in occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Human Resources, Industrial Engineering, Business or related curriculum or equivalent experience.
Certification by recognized professional bodies preferred (Board of Certified Safety Professionals / World Safety Organization / American Society of Safety Engineers)
