About the Role
Tamworth has an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker toprovide a high level of clinical care to support the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and their families within the Tamworth community who access services within the child and family allied health team Tamworth Community Health Service and , childrens and maternity wards at TRRH.ou will have a focus on providing care to Aboriginal children and families within the Tamworth Community.
The position will access clinical supervision from senior social workers with Tamworth Community Health Service.
Where you'll be working
The position sits within the New Directions Service within the child and family allied health team Tamworth Community Health Service.he New Directions service has 2 Aboriginal Health Workers and a Dietitian that you will partner with to deliver care to the Tamworth Community.his will involve responding to referrals for family support from child and family nurses, midwifes and allied health professionals; and provision of education in community settings with a focus from pregnancy to school aged children.ore broadly within the Child and Family allied health team you will work alongside a level 3 and level 1-2 paediatric social worker supporting the continuum of care for clients from acute services to the community.
You will be an independent worker, with strong communication and problem solving skills who works with a holistic culturally inclusive and informed lens.
