Maintenance Planner Programmed Skilled Workforce

Our client, one of the world's leading mining and infrastructure solutions providers, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their team in Melbourne. This role is responsible for developing and delivering work plans and schedules (Mechanical, Electrical and Site Services) that optimizes efficient maintenance execution and plant uptime to support the Product Line on achieving their objectives of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Supports the development of plant CMMS (SAP). Supports the development of plant CMMS (SAP). This will be undertaken to emulsifier, PiBSA and site services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Comply with site safety, health and environmental systems, policies and procedures
Plan routine and non-routine maintenance works by identifying resources and safety requirements, delivering a weekly maintenance schedule by deadline for Superintendent - Maintenance approval and maintaining a rolling maintenance schedule
Facilitate planning for site projects using the SAP work management package including
Manage short and long-term planning for site requirements
Application of SAP MRS in planning and scheduling
Develop CMMS asset data, Maintenance Plans and task-lists including collating work instructions and procedures, materials (including BoMs) and permit to work requirements to optimize planning and execution.
Ensure closure of maintenance work orders and history recording in line with standard set by Reliability
Ensure compliance reporting (including supporting KPIs) for asset category related to corporate and regulatory standards and procedures
Monitor maintenance planning management KPIs (lag and lead) and identify and drive improvement opportunities in collaboration with the Superintendent - Maintenance Execution
Participate in pre-shutdown work scoping and facilitate shutdown execution
Coordinate and communicate with Mechanical and Electrical Technicians, Engineers and Operations to complete and resolve both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
Drive the maintenance stores system, developing the CMMS for managing spares stock levels and streamlining ordering, purchasing, goods receipt and stock reconciliation
Commitment to work in a team environment and support others in the team with skills and knowledge development
Commitment to develop and keep up to date relevant technical skills, this includes statutory and compliance associated training.
Desirable Qualifications/Skills:
Maintenance experience in a chemical plant operation or related heavy industry
Strong computer skills in MS Office applications
Strong SAP knowledge and ability
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to interpret engineering drawings
Effective analytical and problem solving skills
