Stores Officer – Music And Instrumentation
About the Role
Reporting to the Technical Resources Coordinator (Instrumentation), you will provide proactive and reactive support for the Faculty. The role requires the coordination and administration of student loans for musical instruments, small audio systems, instrument amplifiers and related accessories. You will work to maintain and oversee aspects of the Universitys unique and invaluable instrumentation collection.
In a typical week at work, you may:
Work with and assist the Technical Resources Coordinator Instrumentation to coordinate and support Faculty instrumentation requirements as required.
Manage the Facultys Music Equipment Store and specialty instrument locations within Parkville and Southbank.
Coordinate music equipment loans, hires and refunds using the facultys financial and inventory systems.
You will be a naturalproblem-solver, with excellent organisational and time-management skills. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coordinate a complex range of technical resources to deliver multiple projects on time, will set you up for success in this role.
Ideally, you will further have:
Broad knowledge of musical instrument types and the outsourcing of instrumental and equipment repairs.
Broad experience in operating and troubleshooting AV, lighting and sound equipment.
Demonstrated experience providing instruction in the use of performance-based technologies and instrumentation.
