A career in Systems and Process Assurance (SPA) will allow you to develop and apply strategies that help clients leverage technologies so they can mitigate risks, streamline processes, and find operational efficiencies. We cover a wide range of disciplines, including audit risk evaluation, operational and strategic Information Technology processes, project governance, system implementation, data integrity, cyber security to digitise audits.
As a Manager in our Tmaki Makaurau / Auckland office, you will be part of a newly formed SPA team within the external audit function of PwC New Zealand. You will play a key role in shaping the capability, growth and culture of this team of problem solvers, helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Training and coaching teams to recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
Analysing complex ideas or proposals and building a range of meaningful recommendations.

Using multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.

Developing a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients.

Managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
Simplifying complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points.

Ng pkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
4+ years experience working for a major professional services firm, with a minimum of 1 year in a managerial capacity.

Experience designing audit approaches and testing internal controls, planning and delivering the IT component of complex assurance engagements, and reviewing and directing controls testing plans.
Able to lead engagements centred around IT controls including capability to oversee areas such as systems implementations, IT systems controls testing (e.g. automated controls, calculations, reports) and IT General Controls (ITGCs).

Familiar with assurance standards such as SOC 1, SOC2 and other attestation type engagements (ISAE 3402 / SSAE 16).

Ability to lead work that makes effective use of alternative delivery models (i.e shared service / remote working models) to ensure seamless client delivery.

Ability to support our business development team on client proposals and work to establish new relationships within the local marketplace and build relationships with other specialist teams within PwC to ensure that a full service offering can be provided to our clients.
External qualifications such as CA, CISA (ISACA) or equivalent are strongly preferred.
