We are a specialist multidisciplinary allied health team providing occupational rehab services to people injured as a result of workplace injury, car accident or military both active duty and veterans.
As a strong communicator you will manage cases across frameworks such as Icare Workers Compensation, DVA & VETs, CTP and Comcare by providing the link between the injured person, employers, insurance case managers, the treating GP & other allied professionals to set goals, motivate, support and impower people to return to their pre-injury lives. Rehab Management manages a substantial portfolio of clients, working with some of Australias largest organisations, including Australias top insurers, large Federal and State government departments and other key agencies including the Department of Veteran Affairs.
Using your clinical knowledge and skills you will complete a variety of tasks such as:
Advocating for people who feel disempowered to advocate for their own recovery and health
Delivering counselling to people who are grappling with a sudden change in their career goals and circumstances;
Conducting assessments to help guide people toward their new career;
Working with treatment providers to ensure the best recovery outcomes for your clients;
Develop graduated return plans by liaising doctors regarding appropriate timeframes and goals.
Working collaboratively with your colleagues in developing strategies and best practice for case management
Skills and Experiences:
To be successful, you will need to be highly motivated, work in a collaborative style, be target orientated, ability to manage several tasks at once, love a challenge and enjoy working in a dynamic, fun, fast paced environment.
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehab Counselling
Registration with AHPRA, ASORC or RCAA
Build and maintain long-lasting partnerships with clients
Excellent communication & organisational skills
A passion for health and wellbeing, injury prevention and assisting people recover or return to work
The ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
A current Australian drivers license
