$70,623.47 to $89,382.08 p.a. plus superannuation plus a Deed Allowance of $9,824.00 p.a. (for after-hours attendance at meetings)

About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and well-organised Meeting & Administration Officer to join the Governance & Risk team at Woollahra Council on a permanent full-time basis.
As the Meeting & Administration Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient running of various meetings held by Council including the Council, Committee and other panel meetings and provide support to the Manager through a range of administrative duties.
A key aspect of this role will include the taking and recording of live meeting minutes for the purpose of recording decisions which may occur outside normal business hours. At present, Council and Committee meetings are held on Monday evenings. In recognition of this requirement, you will be paid an additional Deed allowance of $9,824.00 per annum.
About you
To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience in taking detailed minutes at Council/Committee level meetings and possess a high level of attention to detail. Additionally, you will demonstrate a high level of flexibility and the ability to work varied hours based on business requirements and be able to demonstrate excellent administrative skills.
Essential Criteria
Proven experience in taking detailed minutes at Council/Committee level meetings.
Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite especially Advanced Word and Outlook.
Demonstrated minimum typing speed of 50-60 words per minute.
Demonstrated active listening and the ability to follow debate/discussion at meetings.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills including the ability to set priorities and to work to deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision together with a commitment to working in a team environment and multi-skilling.
Previous experience in formal record keeping, including database management and use of an electronic document management systems.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a focus on enhancing customer experience.
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to WH&S and EEO principles.

Desirable Criteria
Experience in a Local Government environment.
