Payroll Coordinator

Due to ongoing forecasted growth across all sites in the Mort and Co brand, we are currently looking to expand our payroll functionality in our Finance and Admin team based at our Toowoomba Head Office on a full-time basis. Grow with us, be part of our story.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience of the applicant.Work in a dynamic environment with a high performing finance team who are experts in their field.Be part of the team responsible for all payroll functions in the Mort & Co brand.An opportunity to be part of a workplace culture that fosters continuous improvement and innovationFunctions:Assist in processing payroll for Mort & Co and associated entities in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with contracts, awards, enterprise agreements, superannuation, Child Support Allowances (CSA) and legislative requirements.Liaise with Mort & Co departments regarding weekly and / or fortnightly payroll processingAssist with reconciling, processing and receipting payroll deductions for employees, distribute pay slips to all staff, rent deductions, fuel deductions, allowances and salary sacrifice amounts.Report Single Touch Payroll (STP) to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), within reporting timeframes and assist Payroll Manager in preparing and lodging payroll tax monthly for entities for which payroll is processed, including annual reconciliation.Communicate with and support site administration in relation to requests for information pertaining to payroll matters and ensure the employee records are maintained and comply with audit requirements.Collate and confirm accuracy of timecards, process leave forms and process employee leave entitlement reports fortnightly for sites and departments.Assist with WorkCover in relation to providing wages information relevant to WorkCover claims and annual WorkCover declarations.Liaise with the People, Culture & Training team for a smooth onboarding transition for all new employeesAssist the broader finance and administration team as directed by the Payroll ManagerRequirements:General understanding of Contracts, Modern Awards, Fair Work Act, Payroll Compliance Regulations, Enterprise Agreements and best practice.Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislationAbility to prioritise, manage expectations and meet deadlinesMeticulous attention to detail and accuracyWork proactively and have the ability to investigate issues and find solutionsPossess a strong work ethic, initiative, good judgement and the ability to make timely practical and effective decisionsExcellent written and verbal communicationskillsAbility to work autonomously as well as part of a broader teamAdvanced computer skills including Microsoft suite and the ability to learn and effectively operate payroll software systems.To apply for this role please send your resume to ****** or hit the apply" button to register your interest for this amazing opportunity.
