Leading Hand Cleaner

Fulltime opportunity covering shifts between 5.30am 9.36pm
You will have previous experience working as a professional cleaner in a culturally diverse environment and have demonstrated ability in the use of the equipment and chemicals involved with this role. You have ability to lead a team and develop working relationships with operational and Dept Immigration Border Protection (DIBP) staff. You will ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness of all facilities is maintained and contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support. About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced professional for a leading hand cleaning position based at the Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre (YHIDC) based in Northam WA. You will ensure the daily supervision of cleaning staff that provide cleaning services ensuring 100% task completion and compliance to Serco processes and procedures. Successfully deliver the overall on-site operation including the accurate submission of day to day timesheet and reporting system. Action all directives given by on-site Service Support Manager and cleaning supervisor ensuring 100% compliance with various procedural manuals. Actively observe, evaluate and administer the proper management techniques and methods in accordance Serco policy procedure and governing principles.
You will effectively manage time to ensure all cleaning duties are completed within required deadlines. Use all equipment in accordance with procedures and instructions and maintain in a clean condition, reporting faults or damage of equipment to the supervisor. The role involves manual handling and lifting, and you will be required to work both inside and in the outdoor areas. You will need to be available to be rostered across all days of the week including public holidays, covering both morning and afternoon shifts between the hours of 6am 6pm.

Deliver cost effective, within the allocated budget, ordering of cleaning chemicals, consumables and stock control.
Training in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment (desirable)
Certificate in Asset Maintenance - Cleaning Operations (desirable)
Ability to maintain WHS standards in the workplace
Report daily to the Cleaning Supervisor of any issues that may relate to cleaning failures and building faults
Current Full Drivers Licence
