Here is an exciting internal opportunity to become part of the Planning Design & Completions (PDC) team who play a pivotal role for the delivery of the end-to-end data and artefact lifecycle management and driving innovation to enable ongoing efficiencies through re-engineered processes and implementing automation.
As part of this innovation, PDC has been asked to establish a Long Term Planning (LTP) function for civil infrastructure, which is currently a gap in the COO planning ecosystem.

A bit about your role
You will play an essential role in establishing the capability and to deliver the solutions and on-going insights for civil infrastructure investment through sourcing and analysing land use related intelligence, including insights and producing forecasts, reporting on insights to internal nbn stakeholders to aid in decision making by understanding the demand that is expected to impact the network.

This role will be the patch owner for a geographical area in relation to sourcing and analysing land use related intelligence. You will add value to the sourced data by providing insights and producing forecasts in accordance with required timeframes and targets.

Your role will store and disseminate the intelligence as required to internal nbn stakeholders and when required when required, you will have input into network augmentation Business Cases, Planning Briefs and Area Plans.

You will also be a key interface to stakeholders external to nbn in relation to long term land development issues.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role, it is expected that the Geographic Forecaster will be inquisitive, resourceful and have strong interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to work with all levels across nbn. while having sound analytical skills and proficiency with GIS databases and have at least a basic knowledge of how land use change demand drivers impact network deployment.

The ideal candidate would have demonstrated researching and analytical abilities with a sound understanding of how the land development industry operates, including the stakeholders, processes, dependencies, and timeframes. A sound understanding in the design and delivery of fixed telecommunications access network, in particular the planning, design and delivery of pit and pipe infrastructure is desirable. Having knowledge of geographic information systems and network inventory databases as they apply to telecommunications network will be looked upon favourably.

The role will involve balancing priorities and your proven ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to drive outcomes whilst managing a complex program in a changing environment would be valuable. Ideally, a strong communicator with self-motivation and ability to prioritise work assignment whilst performing in challenging circumstances would be highly desirable.
