Communications Manager - Corporate Operations Group

About the Role

The Corporate Operations Group has an opportunity for a full timeCommunications Manager to join the Technology Division at Macquarie Group. Technology Central is a newly formed multi-disciplinary team, designed as a centre of excellence reaching across all of Technology. Together, we lead central functions such as Business Management; Business Intelligence and Reporting; Learning; Brand and Communication in addition to early careers programs including our Graduate and new Tech Select program, and key projects on behalf of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). You will join a highly collaborative team gaining exposure to the exciting ways Macquarie is innovating and investing for a better future in a role with opportunities to grow and drive your career forward. Together with the Groups focus on accelerating digitalisation across the enterprise, this is an exciting time to join and help drive our ambitions forward.

Join us as Communications Manager and play a key role in helping us tell our technology and people stories effectively and impactfully to a range of internal and external audiences through traditional and digital channels.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Developing content for internal communication including Technology town halls, internal updates, scripts, presentations, digital screens, videos and podcasts, corporate intranet, and other internal platforms.
Working with leadership teams, business leaders and people managers on leadership communication and staff engagement initiatives.
Supporting Group and business-wide engagement initiatives such as wellbeing, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives within Technology.
Manage content for external communication such as our Engineering blog and people stories and review recruitment and onboarding collateral, aligned to our employment brand.
Identifying content opportunities, drafting articles, and developing digital assets that cut through the clutter to drive increased engagement internally and externally.
Collaborating with the events teams to deliver impactful employee experiences, virtually and in person.
Analysing content performance and using insights to produce more effective content, staying ahead of business needs

You will bring with you:

Corporate communications experience, creating and delivering internal communication strategies, crafting editorial content and projects for different audiences.
The ability to connect and align internal and external communications objectives to maximize content across communications/marketing channels.
An understanding of Change practices and frameworks.
Ability to leverage your excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit to work cross-functionally to understand the Divisions priorities and help translate them into actionable initiatives in a fast-paced environment, aligned to our Group and enterprise priorities.
Ability to build trust with a wide range of stakeholders.
Driven to achieve real business outcomes with outstanding attention to detail, a learning mindset, adaptability and self-motivation.
