This is an exciting position that sits within the Office of the Commissioner. The Manager, Events and Awards will oversee the coordination of small to large scale events as well as the provision of internal and external awards. The Manager will be responsible for fostering relationships with key government agencies and organisations to ensure a collaborative approach when coordinating events and award ceremonies. This role will also be responsible for driving innovation in the events and awards space, including digitising and streamlining current processes. Given the fast paced environment, we are looking for a team leader who is flexible, adaptable and responsive.

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

Ability to prioritise own workload as well as that of the team.
Significant experience in the management of small to large-scale events within complex environments.
Strong ability to lead a team to achieve a desired outcome
Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate effectively at an advanced level.
Ability to assess current work practices with a view of making them more efficient.
Strong background in event management
Strong background in awards protocol
