About the role
We have an opportunity for a Technical Officer Grade 2 to be part of our Communications Groupteam. The Technical Officer Grade 2 provides operational support to policing through technical services, and is responsible for the timely completion of urgent and routine maintenance and repair to communications equipment.
Applicants must hold a current drivers licence with no traffic offences recorded on their driving history within the last six (6) months or NSW Police Force Bronze Certification.

Provide an example of a time when you have repaired, maintained, replaced or installed radio communications equipment. What steps did you take to diagnose the issue and how did you ensure that the system was restored? What WHS factors did you take into account?

Provide an example of your experience in radio technologies, which must include one or more of the following: Conventional networks, digital trunking networks, back haul linking technologies, microwave, RF Links, VOIP and/or satellite.
