Network Capacity Planning Engineer

Whats the Opportunity- We are seeking a Network Capacity Planning Engineer, within the Technology division whis able tprovide Vocus Network Services with a core and access network that is dimensioned with the appropriate capacity, tdeliver a great customer experience. This is achieved through reporting, ordering and managing network capacity across various platforms and technologies. reports tNetwork Capacity and Security Manager, and will be based in Bridge Street Sydney, plus you have the opportunity twork 3 days from anywhere and 2 in the office. Whats the day tday- Producing network capacity reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis Developing and enhancing network reporting methods, tensure reports are accurate and optimal Analyse and interpret sales and product forecasts, tunderstand and predict the impact on network capacity requirements Analyse and interpret network traffic patterns toptimise the customer experience and network efficiency Create and manage orders tconnect, modify and disconnect network infrastructure Analyse network traffic statistics tensure product service levels are achieved Implement cost models tensure network capacity requirements are in line with budget forecasts Reconcile and audit network infrastructure tensure accurate network inventory is maintained Investigate and resolve customer incidents that be caused by network capacity shortfalls What you will need tbe successful:
3 years experience in telecommunications network reporting and/or capacity management Telecommunications network certification CCNA or JNCIA highly desirable Be able twork with Product Managers across multiple lines of business, Senior Management, Service Delivery and Solution engineering teams, Account Management and Customer Solutions Engineers, plus domestic and international third party suppliers including Telstra, Confidential, NBN etc Advanced understanding of telecommunications network operations Experience in dimensioning IP, transmission and/or voice network infrastructure Solid understanding of layer 2 and 3 transport protocols including traffic management and load balancing techniques Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention tdetail and accuracy in collecting, analysing and presenting numerical values Analytical mindset. This role needs tunderstand and interpret reports not just generate them. Strong understanding in capacity management including reporting, data analysis, forecasting and demand management. Adaptable and thrive in a constantly evolving environment. Knowledge of layer 1 and 2 telecommunications network elements including IP, Voice, ADVA, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Arista etc is desirable Competent in using software packages tproduce reports eg Exel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Google Data StudiNV1 Clearance is highly desirable Adopting yourself twork practices aligning tVocus values, Security and WHS policy.
