Description & Requirements
About the Role:
The role is critical to the effective project and program management of various initiatives impacting Supply Chain- including but not limited to Value Engineering- Decomplexity- Strategic Sourcing- Innovation- Technical and Transformational.
The Project Manager will work closely with local and regional- cross-functional teams- consisting of- amongst others- Manufacturing- Planning & Logistics- Procurement- R&D- Quality- Marketing- Category- Sales- Finance- Legal- and so forth- to ensure effective project delivery and Supply Chain optimisation. This role requires leading all required activities through the applicable governance processes- such as “Idea to Execution” (or Stage & Gate)- Change Control- or similar.
Effectively lead and deliver projects on-time- in-full- and in line with gate-keeping guidelines- including time management- cost management- risk management- effective troubleshooting- and escalation throughout the project life cycle. Types of projects will typically include:Value Engineering projectsSupply Continuity projectsCapacity and Capability projects
Support NPD projects
Manage stakeholders & keep key sponsors informed on project progress
Facilitate and support complexity reduction through collaborating with Supply Chain- R&D and Commercial teams
Strategic influencing on innovation and supply chain thresholds to reduce portfolio tail and complexity
Types of initiatives will typically include:Product DiscontinuationsSourcing Decisions
Educated to Bachelor / Master’s degree level.
2+ years’ experience in Project Management / Operations / R&D / Value Engineering
3+ years’ experience in the Food Industry will be advantageous
Demonstrated track record in Operations will be advantageous
Formal project management training will be advantageous
Strong influencing skills- stakeholder management and collaboration
Experienced in change management and project management
Demonstrates superior interpersonal- coaching- and communication skills to multiple levels of the organization
Motivated- self-directed- and detail oriented.
Able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously & to develop priorities for self and members of project team.
