Product Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Manager based in Macquarie Park to join our growing Structural Heart team.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager you are responsible for developing the Aortic, Mitral and Tricusip transcatheter market. Partnering with the Transcatheter Sales leader, you will implement short and long-term strategic marketing plans for the Transcatheter Valve Intervention business.

Main responsibilities are, and not limited to:

Develop and implement short and long-term strategic marketing plans / new product launch plans, objectives and tactics that lead to maintain market leadership for core products
Collaborate with the Sales team to conduct targeted market development in key markets
Develop Key Opinion Leaders within Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Heart failure, Echo Cardiology as well as healthcare economists; identify joint working initiatives to increase therapy awareness across multiple channels
Identify, plan and execute on patient referral strategies
Maintain a high knowledge of the scientific and technical differences between Abbott and competitor products and ensure the Sales Force has a strong working knowledge; build short and long-term sales models based on a solid understanding of the competitive marketplace to support Strategic Plan and Operating Plan
Keep up to date with government and industry trends related to product portfolio
Effectively manage the aspects of product forecasting, inventory and expiry
Partner with the sales force in the preparation and submission of tenders
Flexibility to travel is essential

Who we’re looking for:

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing
Minimum 4 years in a similar Marketing role in healthcare essential; minimum 3 years as a Product Manager required
General cardiology experience preferred; interventional cardiology is highly advantageous
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts
Experience in working and leading cross-functional environments
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Willingness to accept challenging assignments and engage in relevant developmental activities in a change environment
High willingness to learn and seek continuous improvement opportunities
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with web-based applications
