Community Engagement & Communications Officer


HOBAN Recruitment are current sourcing an experienced Community Engagement & Communications Officer to join our client, who is a Federal Government Agency, in their National Delivery team.
Located in Adelaide, South Australia
12-month contract, with the possibility of an extension, pending business requirements.
$58.50 + per hour + Superannuation

About the role
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Working across the branch and with other business areas to support a strategic and proactive events strategy and associated logistics, driving nationally consistent, locally tailored event solutions to support increased awareness and understanding in the community.
Building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate participation in a diverse range of small and large scale events, including information sessions, forums, conferences and webinars.
Producing content for a variety of channels including website, Ministerial and Executive Briefings, event materials, social media and other communication platforms.
Providing logistical management and advice to the Agency to deliver proactive and nationally consistent engagement activities, including the providsion of logistical support at external forums and events.
Contributing to the implementation and operationalisation of a targeted, proactive engagement strategy, including a forward planned events calendar, aligned to the corporate plan, broader Engagement Strategy and with branch and divisional business plans.
Working with the leadership team to promote and implement best practice event management processes including identification and provision of all event accessibility measures necessary, and supporting the triaging of events, third party event requests and delivery of events.
Coordinating critical data analysis and feedback to measure effectiveness of activities and strategies, including identifying associated risks and trends.
Undertaking document management of event documentation to support team and senior leadership visibility on event planning status, risk management and data collection.

Must be an Australian Citizen
Be able to pass national police check and working with children check
Excellent customer service skills
