Despatch Coordinator (1 x AM and 1 X PM)

What does the job look like?

We require 2 Despatch Coordinators – 1x AM Shift and 1 x PM Shift. As the Despatch Coordinator, you would be responsible for effective and efficient management of assets and loads to ensure customer demand is met. In this role you will be able to work across multiple systems simultaneously with a high competency understanding of how they flow together and ultimately trigger revenue for the BevChain business, split costs across P&L’s and pay our contractors.

Your actions will have a direct flow into BevChain financial billing and sub-contractor payments. In addition to these, you will need to support transport supervisors and managers with achieving KPI targets and the daily management of drivers and warehouse loading departments.

Key areas:

Preparation of driver paperwork inclusive of pallet dockets, con notes, booking passports and others that may be required.
Communicate expectations and manage relationships with drivers and warehouse to reduce non-driving hours and quick turnaround of vehicles.
Liaise with warehouse team to allocate vehicles to loading docks to meet load, despatch on time and overall targets.
Provide frequent communication and data with Management team regarding status and logistics of deliveries/pick-ups to ensure quality service is provided to our customers
Monitor in shift activity via an internal system to ensure schedule is being executed as planned, and intervene where resources are running behind
Digital Freight Network (DFN) exception reports to be run twice daily, with all exceptions cleared as early as possible the following day

Proven experience in an administrative role within the transportation industry
Work across multiple systems and experience working with a Transport Management System (TMS) being advantageous
Ability to adapt to fast changing demands and requirements
Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to operate autonomously and as part of a team
