Business Development Manager

As the  Business Development  Manager , you can have the best of both worlds – autonomy, in a team environment. You’ll be trusted to bring your sales expertise all while being supported so that you can achieve your career goals.With flexible arrangements on offer, you'll be able to operate from home/remote (2-3 days every week) and from our office in Sydney.  Key Accountabilities:
Drive and manage sales opportunities for freight forwarding nationally
Develop strategies and activities to support existing customer relationships
Identify sales pipelines and support campaigns (e.g. vertical markets, trade lanes, transport, import/export)
Manage initiatives on new sales contacts with the marketing & sales teams
Collaborate with senior stakeholders and teams to develop value added solutions
Ownership of indoor sales software and technology
Contribute to overall plans, strategies, budgets, and performance reviews

We require a highly driven, passionate and customer-focused professional. Ideally, you'll have the following:

2+ years of sales/business development experience, ideally in freight forwarding or logisitcs
Capable of building genuine long-term relationships with customers
Communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups (managers, customers & staff)
Flexible, resilient and capable of adapting to changing environments
Conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills
A creative approach and flair for innovation
