Environmental Services Worker - Ingham
About the role
The Environmental Service Worker is responsible for kitchen, dining room, laundry and cleaning duties within a Residential Aged Care facility. We are looking for committed and flexible individuals to join our ever-growing team.
In this varied role you will:
Assist in the preparation of meals; maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
Assist with the serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays;
Be responsible for laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing; maintain the cleanliness of the laundry and equipment;
Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility’s residential areas.
To be successful in this role your skills and experience will ideally include:
Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable, however, we will provide you with training to succeed in this role;
Previous relevant work experience, preferably within a multi-disciplinary team environment;
Experience working in the aged care industry is desirable but not essential;
Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer;
A current National Police Certificate – or the ability to acquire;
A COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with government direction and/or Churches of Christ Policy.
