Your responsibilities will include
As our Technician Field I , you will perform a variety of technical maintenance and support activities on a wide range of products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You will maintain effective customer communications and relations.
Other responsibilities include (not limited to):
Provide technical support for relevant systems including testing, fault analysis and fault diagnosis of equipment, system and network faults, repairs, upgrades, modifications etc.
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimal timeframes. Install, upgrades and remove products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
Complete required tasks to ensure equipment is serviceable, maintained, diagnosed and repaired when needed and to ensure technical support and test equipment, IT and facility systems are configured correctly.
Provide support on preventative and demand maintenance techniques and their practical application to standard technical problems.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Experience, Skills & Competencies
Some knowledge, ability and/or experience in the routine maintenance and repair of technical systems and equipment, integrated systems, sub-systems and IT infrastructure.
An understanding of maintenance techniques and their application to technical phases of standard tasks and problems of a technical nature.
Ability to follow structured operational maintenance plans to meet maintenance, operational and quality objectives.
Some knowledge and experience working within an Information and Communication Technology environment, including servers, networking devices and virtualised infrastructure. Administration of Operating Systems such as Linux & Windows is desirable.
Some knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) with an ability to analyse and interpret reports and maintenance information.
Basic to intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications.
Understanding of WHS and security applications and responsibilities.
Applicants must be eligible for and are required to apply for and maintain a CoA Baseline security clearance.
