We are looking for dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join our Care Support team on a casual basis to support our various Residential Care sites in SA.

 

 

About the role

 

You will deliver high-quality nursing care while supervising and guiding personal care workers. Together, you’ll help to improve resident quality of life.

 

In providing person-centered nursing and lifestyle care, you’ll set, manage and oversee care plans, monitor results, keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts. You’ll also foster a safe and harmonious environment while growing your knowledge and encouraging others to shine.

 

As a valued member of the Southern Cross Care team, resident safety and quality of life will define your daily duties. Each day you’ll set an example for your colleagues by meeting and exceeding all relevant standards, regulations and laws, and contributing to our continuous improvement plans.

About you

 

With a current registration (practising certificate) as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA, and at least 1 to 2 years experience experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an aged care environment, you have a solid understanding of all relevant legislative requirements, ethics and standards. You will also demonstrate high-level listening, communication, team building and time management skills.

 

Skilled in dementia and gerontic care, you’ll excel at helping residents with confusing or challenging behaviours.

 

Understanding and working knowledge of Electronic Care Management systems and medication systems is desirable.
