Occupational Therapist -Grade 1 or 2

Make a difference in your community- Seeking Grade 2 OT to work with a Community based caseload providing therapy services to children, teens, adults and aged care clients with a range of disabilities. You will provide individual care and interventions, support children and their families participation and process of transition in all community ADLs, including kindergarten, childcare and schools, so lots of variety.

Offering flexible hours, friendly family work environment and the ability to develop groups and services to meet the needs of your community.

You will be supported with mentoring and ongoing professional development. As an experienced OT you will also have the opportunity to supervise and provide support to Grade 1 OT’s, assistants, volunteers and students.

Key Selection Criteria: (Please address this in your cover letter)

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
AHPRA registration
OT experience within a community setting
Significant experience with goal setting, assessment and intervention with children, adolescents and adults with disability.
Experience working with a family-centred and person-centred models.
Experience in supervision of Grade 1 Occupational Therapy staff and undergraduate students.
Experience in the preparation and presentation of professional educational material for health professionals, students, education staff, and carers.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work cohesively in a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to a positive and motivated team.
Demonstrate high level of verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.
Ability to be flexible, use initiative and work autonomously passion for Occupational Therapy and a willingness to learn
National Police Check and Working with Children Check
