About the role
This role sits in the Service Management Office (SMO) within Suncorp’s Data Analytics Platform domain.
The SMO team are responsible for the operational delivery of the Suncorp Data Analytics Platform and Production Support services. This includes ensuring day-to-day operational excellence, service delivery continual improvement, operational governance, platform Customer Experience, Service Management strategy and supporting the teams across Suncorp who deliver on and use the platform services. As part of the SMO team, the Business Analyst’s focus is to work with our teams and stakeholders to deliver IT Service Management solutions that create value and drive automation, innovation and simplicity in the services we offer.
This role requires working with a large group of stakeholders across Suncorp, including the Data Analytics Platform support team and the wider domain. The platform is managed by a partner and close collaboration with the partner team is essential for enabling uplift in operational delivery. The role also works collaboratively with Suncorp’s Technology teams and business stakeholders.
Delivers Service Management solutions for Suncorp’s Data Analytics platform that are fit for purpose and meet the user’s expectations
Build strong, trusted relationships with business and customer groups and within the team, by helping the team to make their work transparent, and managing change as issues arise
Maintain the focus on customer value and outcomes and maximise flow
Ensure the team remains focused on priorities and aligned to strategy and roadmaps, and that backlog and release plans are maintained
Work collaboratively maintaining ongoing dialogue and relationships with Stakeholders as part of continued solution development and support.
Promote continuous improvement through involvement in review processes and demonstration of individual leadership skills.
Support process of Business context and Requirements gathering during project discovery phase
Supports defining of MVPs; features/stories and benefits during Discovery phase
Skills & Experience
Solid experience in a business/system analyst role (mandatory)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work largely unsupervised and see tasks through to completion without regular follow-up.
This role is delivering within an IT Service Management team, therefore a good working knowledge of IT service principles including ITIL, process tools, frameworks, and best practice methods are essential.
ITIL v3/ITIL v4 Foundation qualified (desirable)
Tertiary qualification on Business, Information Technology or equivalent experience (desirable)
Track record of working in a fast-paced collaborative cross-functional environment (preferred)
