Job DescriptionWe are are looking for a General Maintenance and Security Controller for our Paulshof office.The successful incumbent will: Support the Facilities manager and Facilities manager by continually delivering against daily set out tasks both short and long term Drive and champion the Security and facilities rules and goals Ensure that all items are repaired in and around the office: identify & assist Report and log faults in and around the building Troubleshoot Electrical issues and repairs: check globes out & replace. Set up and take down for events & training sessions Office moves (physical moving of office furniture around the building) Monthly stock takes of paper and re-order of office equipment Monthly stock takes of water cooler bottles & cups and re-order of office equipment Storerooms: keep neat & tidy and facilities stock monitored. Manage tool & supplies register Other ad hoc duties, and assisting with Warehouse overflow duties. Processes managed reported on weekly Management and Staff SatisfactionMaintenance & Security requirements Accomplishes Facilities operations objectives by systematically setting building checks on a daily, weekly and monthly basis set against facilities criteria on all aspects of building maintenance, lighting, water, etc. Following policies and procedures.Security liaison: Overseeing and ensuring daily am and pm security checks are performedEnsure keys & access cards are available for supplier access afterhours. Arrange after-hours access for suppliers/ staff as requiredWorking with and Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of outsourced staff of suppliers commissioned including cleaning, maintenance, grounds and security. Reports on monthly track recordsQuality ControlProblem-solving is an essential skill as there will be times when things dont go to plancheck that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies Minimise breakdowns by being proactive with maintenanceDelivery Management Schedule repairs and ensure completion within set out timeframes Remaining deadline driven at all timesGrowth & Learning Undertake ongoing delivering of best-practice and attending internal and external workshops or seminars Support knowledge transfer, knowledge sharing and up skilling through relevant & appropriate learning/teaching channels Certificates of attendanceQualificationsMatric CertificatePrevious experience working as a maintenance manager or doing repair work associated with property and buildings.Computer Literate.At least 3-5 years experience in Facilities department in similar IndustryAdditional InformationGood knowledge of facilities requirements for repairs, administration, Understanding and management of Security of property and stock with partner suppliers
