Key Account Manager

Time Type: Full Time Main Purpose of the Role To build and maintain a strong business partnership with new and existing customers, consciously looking for value adding opportunities to improve and develop current client solutions Job Related Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience in Freight Forwarding experience, including min 2 years' Client Facing experience. Fluent in English, both written and verbal Knowledge of Local and International logistics requirements by Air/Sea/Road Clear understanding of shipping procedures from door to door, port operation Work under pressure and highly self-motivated Forward thinking / innovative / problem solver Solution orientated Responsible and accountable Adapt and encourage new challenges Carry out a structured and planned approach to work scope in an innovative and creative manner Ability to learn quickly and comprehensively Meet deadlines timeously Excellent at time management and forward planning Computer Literacy Office (Teams, OneNote, Forms) Electives Understanding of accounts, international forwarding across all modes of transport Sales training/courses Presentation experience Duties & Responsibilities To build strong relationships with Key clients by understanding their strategies and how DSV can best align to support the clients business and supply chain strategy. Through strong relationships across all levels (Strategic. Tactical and Operational), Aim to successfully retain Key clients as well as identify any possible innovations and opportunities for the company to grow the existing business. Show value to these clients by providing KPI and extensive reporting analytics on a financial and operational level. This reporting is used to strengthen the relationship and position DSV as a primary logistics partner. Presenting and implementing rates increases with clients, be they on an annual or ad hoc basis. Supply logistical/supply chain related information and/or consultancy as requested by client utilising the various expertise available throughout DSV such as customs consultancy, supply chain analysis, etc. Presenting to and implementing new DSV products, processes and strategies with clients To attend both client and company social events as part of relationship building exercise. To maintain an acceptable & professional dress code in line with company guidelines. Arrange war rooms to analyse under threat clients as well as those clients where real opportunities exist. To organise and run with project plans when necessary. Ensuring that CRM Program / System, is always kept updated and minutes of meetings are loaded Compile and present Performance Management Reviews detailing Transit analysis to various clients. Compile and present General Management Reviews including shipment stats, financial data and other relevant info such as QVA to certain clients. Compiling, monitoring and presenting customised client reports as may be required by the client. Ensuring the client is given access to any DSV reports/reporting systems Maintain meeting minutes and/or records & distribute. Report Lost Business. Report Under Threat business Monitoring service levels for each mode (air, ocean, road, etc.) and department (exports, imports, logistics, etc.). Monitoring client relationship status Monitoring clients payment cycles as well as outstanding payments in order to ensure compliance with payment terms and agreements.
