Job Summary Execute effective supply chain operations (from demand planning to demand fulfilment) & sustainably achieve defined supply chain performance targets, expectations & objectives to influence an optimized cost to serve & overall business & customer impact Job Description Supply Chain Operational Planning & Execution Take accountability for acquiring and evolving deep supply chain & technology hardware and software expertise Proactively stay ahead of the curve on supply chain trends, evolving technologies and technology hardware and software suppliers and related products and services Positively contribute & provide input to the Supply Chain Strategy development process as a SC SME Translate the supply chain strategy into detailed supply chain operational plans at a business unit / technology capability area (e.g. platforms, DC, End User, RBB / CIB etc.) level Work collaboratively with technology & business leaders to determine demand planning needs and consolidate these for the bigger SC strategy & demand plans Define demand and supply plans and identify opportunities, issues and risks, suggesting solutions in mitigation of these Coordinate demand planning processes with vendors, suppliers (internal e.g. asset management & external) and support the development of detailed feasibilities, business cases and budgets for approval. Take accountability for keeping the total cost of tech and objectives for supply chain optimization, modernization, automation, efficiency & effectiveness top of mind in all SC activity and proactively influencing the business & customer impact as a result Manage the sourcing & procurement processes (ahead of demand) and ensure optimal (cost : value) throughout this value chain Implement, monitor & manage inventory & the end to end inventory value chain (order management, payment processing etc.) for the Technology business and achieve our working capital targets, business & customer requirements (ALWAYS!) Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (e.g. finance, sourcing etc.) to ensure the seamless delivery of sourcing, procurement & inventory management Manage the logistics & warehousing of physical inventory and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (e.g. CRES, Data Centres, End User and other) to ensure we achieve our working capital targets & objectives and at the same time meet customer / business requirements (ALWAYS!) Manage the demand fulfilment process ensuring seamless (JIT) delivery of goods and or services aligned to plan Effectively implement and ensure supply chain security build capability across the value chain for others to do the same (virtual & physical security) Support the design of and implement, manage and maintain all supply chain processes, guidelines, standards, policies and procedures Take full accountability for applying and managing governance, risk, compliance and regulatory requirements across the supply chain Manage and maintain all supply chain documentation to standard Lead the preparation and implementation of Supply Chain audits (internal / external) Work with defined business / technology capability areas to define the SLA & OLAs for effective supply chain delivery Proactively monitor and manage the performance of Supply Chain services with the business aligned to agreed targets and objectives Support & or lead various business review conversations to identify areas of improvement & define and implement plans for ongoing supply chain optimization Accountability: Supply Chain Transformation & Continuous improvement Provide input into continuous improvement processes and support the implementation of associated systems / technologies and processes Act as the change champion for SC optimization, virtualization, modernization across the business & with external service providers Build strong capability and alignment across the supplier and client base (internal) for the supply chain automation agenda this includes advisory on the alignment of supplier people, processes, systems where it makes sense to do so Positively participate in and in some cases design, lead and manage the associated SC innovation initiatives and processes (including agile & waterfall projects/programmes/implementations) Accountability: Managed Services Provide input into and or coordinate various aspects of the sourcing process as a technical Supply Chain SME in partnership with the sourcing team (e.g. re-contracting, new supplier RFPs and negotiations etc.) Manage managed services delivery to plan Work with internal clients and service providers to clearly align on agreed Service Level Agreements Build strong supplier relationships and implement relationship management routines to ensure effective managed service delivery & a sustainable partnership over time (SLA/OLA delivery) Ensure ongoing & proactive monitoring & performance reviews with the business and suppliers for continuous improvement Leverage ongoing performance and relationship processes to ensure uninterrupted business operations & proactive issue identification & resolution on supplier product & service delivery Design, implement & lead problem & incident management processes (in cases of) for supply chain services Drive continuous improvement and the optimisation, modernisation and virtualisation of the Supply Chain objectives with suppliers Accountability: Governance, Risk, Compliance Take ownership for understanding the contribution of Supply Chain & various contracts and initiatives to the total cost of tech & meet all financial & efficiency objectives (ALWAYS!) Apply the group risk, governance, compliance, regulatory frameworks and standards Provide input & reporting requirements / processes for all internal / external risk, regulatory, compliance and governance related process for managed services where required Maintain relevant, accurate & timely governance, risk and compliance information Accountability: People Proactively & effectively (time & quality) collaborate & drive collaboration across teams where it makes sense to do so (e.g. managing dependencies & interdependencies, conflict resolution, information & best practice sharing, problem resolution outside of own area etc.) Apply collaboration skills in business reviews & issue resolution regardless of team boundaries & lead communication with relevant stakeholders through to conclusion Contribute to a high performance team environment & culture as a high performing member of a self-directed team aligned to agile working Leverage coaching techniques in all team / service provider related activity to drive a higher quality service Proactively seek & provide feedback across a range of stakeholders for the benefit of the team & leverage feedback to consistently improve SC service delivery Participate in peer reviews, testing, problem solving within and across the broader team Drive the design of content, tools & materials for strategy alignment, education & adoption processes to be applied across stakeholder groups and aligned to SC transformation Education Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
