Quality Control Officer
Main Responsibilities:Production Managing and coordinating systems and standards to ensure that the products and services of the company meet the highest Quality compliance and standards; Auditing in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement checks and communicating required corrective actions to the responsible Production Supervisor/Manager or SHEQ team; Assisting/Supporting and Co-ordinating production staff on all non-conformances and rework processes; Investigating product failures, sorting and segregating non-conforming materials or products; Investigating production stoppage related to quality of the product or process failures; Conducting quality meetings with production team, supervisors and managers; Communicating issues compromising production and quality of products; Supporting Incoming goods by performing inspections on raw materials; Verifying equipment/jigs & fixtures/gauges used to measure/check quality adherence and ensuring compliance; Training and assisting production personnel to carry out quality control functions and ensure compliance to meet the quality goals; Developing systems that promotes quality in all aspects; Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings to carry out dimensional checks;Documentation Auditing, reviewing and developing SOPs, Visual aids, NCRs and other process related documents for production; Generating and recording NCRs for internal related issues. Generating CAPA and maintain records; Documenting all the investigations conducted related to process non-conformance by applying 5Ms; Raising and documenting NCR with suppliers and keeping records. Auditing suppliers where needed Conducting and recording quality training; Documenting inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarising data (rejects, reworks, scrap, waste etc.);General Analysing Quality data, trends and recommend improvements; Achieving departmental and organisational KPI targets; Trend quality issues on a weekly and monthly basis and report failure patterns; Investigating customer complaints related to product failures; Assisting ISO team ensuring all Production and Quality conforms to ISO Standards; Conducting audits related to Process, Product and ISO requirements; Maintaining an acceptable organised and clean work area (5S); Supporting and promoting Health and Safety in production; Performing other job-related duties as assigned or required; Complying with all company and departmental policies and procedures;Required Qualifications / Experience: Minimum of a Tertiary Diploma/Degree in Quality Management ISO or related experience. Auditing and maintaining of a QMS Minimum 3 years Quality Control or Assurance experience in a production/manufacturing environment Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel at an Intermediate level Experience or qualifications in any Engineering field would be advantageous SAP experience would be advantageous
