HEAD: CLINICAL PERFORMANCE: CORPORATE SERVICES ABOUT Intercare Corporate Services in Lynnwood, Pretoria, seeks to recruit a Head: Clinical Performance.The purpose of the position is to maximize the quality and safety of clinical care delivered within the group, including centralized clinical services, primary care and hospitals. CRITICAL OUTPUTS Research, analyse and identify evidence-based nursing standards.Develop and implement policies and protocols to ensure compliance with DOH/OHSC clinical, nursing and IPC standards and any other accreditation or registration requirements.Ensure the maintenance of the required nursing documentation and certification.Review, develop and enhance triage, care, incident reporting and IPC protocols across all Business Units.Design, oversee and/or conduct audits in relation to the above.Identify training requirements and programmes to ensure care standards and patient safety etc.Develop training courses within their scope of practice.Support Group Clinical Officer and the business with review of new technology and clinical solutions etc.Develop, maintain and coordinate relevant monitoring and reporting structures within the business, including the preparation of management reports.Influence, motivate and lead stakeholders in ensuring safe, quality and professional clinical care.Represent Intercare on a clinical level at key stakeholder engagements and collaboration initiatives, including Mediclinic, funders and care partners.Assist the Group Clinical Officer with the activities and communications related to various clinical advisory and governance committees.Assist and coordinate the investigation of reportable incidents, including recommendations on future mitigation strategies.Work closely with the operations managers and executives across centralized care services, hospitals and primary care.REQUIREMENTS Grade 12;Diploma/Degree in nursing leading to qualification as Registered Nurse. Substantial Clinical experience in area of speciality, including at least 5 years nursing experience.Needs to be clinically trained, nursing, and experienced in setting, monitoring, and intervening on clinical standards and protocols (esp. nursing).Knowledge of nursing standards.Knowledge of legal and ethical requirements.Ability to use clinical information systems.Ability to problem solve in a variety of complex situations.Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety.Ability to assist and support the implementation of quality and change management initiatives and clinical projects.SANC registration as a Registered Nurse.Hospital nursing experience preferable.Advanced verbal and written communication skills.Customer and service orientated.Proven management experience essential, at a minimum with responsibility for a large hospital or region.Basic understanding of labour legislation.Advanced computer proficiency.CLOSING DATE: 10 APRIL All applications can be submitted on: If you are not contacted within 2 weeks of the closing date please regard your application as unsuccessful.
