Bursary Administrator

Job Description The Bursary Administrator is an existent role within the Bursary team to provide administrative support to the Bursary team and bursars.The successful applicant should have considerable administrative and financial experience, excellent computer skills, especially in word processing and spreadsheets. Excellent interpersonal qualities and sense of humour are needed for this important new role. The ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure, is essential.Job Responsibilities:The successful applicant will be required to carry out the following duties:Day to day administration process through the Bursary systemUpdate of Bursary system information and detailsLiaison with institutionsPreparation of audit filesPreparing and verifying payment schedulesReview and verification of invoices, fee statements and resultsHandling general queries for the BursaryProvide cover for Bursary staff as required during absencesThe successful candidate will demonstrate the following essential skills, experience, and qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualification3 years experience in Bursary or Administration work.The ability to work on their own initiativeExcellent IT skills across the MS Office Suite in particular ExcelMeticulous attention to detail.Awareness of the importance of data security and confidentialityFast learner
