Account Manager – Strategic Accounts


Job Summary The position requires an experienced and driven sales person with expertise in software sales. The Sales person is responsible for driving new sales across LexisNexis solutions lines. The Sales person main accountabilities will be to pro-actively prospect, qualify and close new sales opportunities. You will the lead on deals and be seen by customers as a subject matter expert in the corporate compliance environment. The role works in close partnership with internal and external partners to proactively drive growth. Key Responsibilities Manage existing relationships with certain key accounts. Seek new opportunities at existing and new accounts. Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with strategic large accounts. Build and maintain relationships with key senior-level decision makers and influencers. Identify and develop and typically close new sales opportunities. Assist with implementation and support with key accounts. Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers. Achieve revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account. Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies. Typically be responsible for products/services or territories/accounts that have moderate complexity. Train new/other team members and provide input to employee performance evaluations. Develops and apply broad knowledge of products and solutions. Business Expertise Interprets internal/external business issues and applies them to own role. No supervisory responsibilities but provide informal guidance to new team members. Solve problems in straightforward situations; analyses possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents. Experience Minimum 5 years sales and software, compliance or risk industry experience. Experience of technology sales, preferable in compliance and risk A self-starter with a consistent track record in a quota bearing sales environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact with customers in a consultative, face-to-face selling and social media selling. Ability to present face-to-face and on online platforms.
